Status as of 10/24:

Processor is the only part of the code that keeps evolving
Exploit the synergy with university groups to ensure maintenance
Involve the developer of the backends when possible
Can be taken out as a standalone package, but no clear advantage
FAST interface, should be already supported

run_uproot_job grew organically as the main entry point. Needs work.
ensure metadata that comes into the job comes properly.
