I've found a more convenient method for generating .gifs where we can use a shortcut key in VLC to set the starting and ending points.

We can use a simple Bash script that employs ffmpeg and fswatch to automatically detect new recording .mp4 files and convert them to .gif files.

  1. User clicks xxxx button
  2. Something happens
  3. Some other thing happens
  4. ...
