I notice no activity on this very useful set of extensions modules.
Is this project defunct?

Hello @adrianog

Yes and no. This project is currently not being actively maintained, and as far as I know, it isn't used by anyone. That said, given enough interest, I'm sure it could be revived and improved upon.
