Parameter mining not working reliably

I've been running into the issue that the mining information shows up in files opened at start up but not for files subsequently opened (see left: no info, right: parameter type info on methods). Anything I am doing wrong here?

"Subsequently opened". In my example above the left file was opened manually. I could get more information to show by deactivating the "Show parameter only for literal" (which is a bit weird language), but that raises the question why Order shows up for the right file with the flag previously activated.

In fact, I don't think there's anything special to manually opened files. I was trapped by the setting I didn't quite understand, which was partially caused by some types (right file) still rendering while the "literals only" flag was activated.
