It will be great if it will possible to support portrait orientation as well. Reasons:

  1. Many GA aircrafts, in real world, have support mounts to mount the tablet on the yoke. Those are mostly in portrait orientation, to allow pilots to grip the yoke. Example:
    pic01265-1

  2. Most of the airport charts are in portrait mode, that will allow for better viewing.

Will require a new dataref, ie. Avitab/portrait, that the aircraft author can set on start, or in runtime.

+1 to this - I really don't like having to scroll up & down to read an approach plate. It's not realistic at all.

Avitab's (current) inability to display in portrait mode is in my opinion one its biggest shortcomings. Avitab is a great plugin that could be even greater if not for the lack of this crucial feature.

This would be incredibly helpful as reading vertical checklist and approach plates are a bit of a struggle without zooming in. Another option is to let the user make the window taller. Right now when you drag the bottom of the window down Avitab eventually stops following the handle and remains at some built in specified height. Thanks!
