I've been using this for a while
https://github.com/rkevin-arch/CLIdrag

the behaviour is pretty simple:

$ drag FILES

my cursor changes and I just drag, no need for the extra step of creating a window and dragging from there, can I do that with dragon-drag? If not, is there any plans to add that?

It doesn't currently support that mode, but it would be a nice feature.

That would be really nice to have, just $ drag FILES and click on the target to drop the files instead of having to hold down <mouse-1>.

vimpostor added a commit to vimpostor/blobdrop that referenced this issue Sep 10, 2023
The idea was first mentioned in an dragon drag and drop issue [0].
And it was first implemented in clidrag [1], so we should give credits
to them.

Turns out, dragging and dropping is way more convenient when you don't
have to manually drag from a window, but it just starts automatically
and you don't even need to hold a mouse button.

vimpostor/blobdrop from the above commit log is verry good, it is compatible with dragon cli arguments. Also provides a flake for nixos.

I've switched to blobdrop from clidrag, since clidrag didn't work on some programs. It works perfectly
