I upgraded my owncloud server to 10.12.2 as I would normally while expecting no issue as previous upgrades went smoothly without facing any issues , this time I'm surprised to have pop msg asking for license which I haven't install or use any Ent feature or app as much as I know.

After doing some digging I found there was similar issue with richdocuments triggering the Ent license , which I do have it installed, to make sure it's the same story I uninstalled Collabora Online and checked if the msg would disappear and it did , re install maybe to solve it but no avail it re appeared again!

any solution to this issue?

The one I found related to this issue : #347

My Server spec :

Ubuntu 22.04.2
Owncloud 10.12.2

Trying to reproduce:

  • Starting with server 10.2.0
  • Install richdocuments 3.0.0
  • Test that richdocuments works fine (no enterprise license needed)
  • Visit admin page, see that an online update is available.
  • Click the updater button, to update to 10.12.2
  • Test that richdocuments works fine (no enterprise license needed)

I cannot see any unusual behaviour there. Which version of richdocuments are you running?
Can you share a config report?
Do you have secure_view enabled?

I have the same problem. After upgrading to ownCloud 10.14.0 I am asked to enter an Enterprise license key. The Collabora Online App has version 4.2.0

I've done this several times (complete uninstallation and reinstallation).
No success at all. This message appears every time the app is activated.

What happens after the demo period?

Never had such issues. Did you have enabled "Secure View" by any chance which is an enterprise feature?

Once you are in the 24h grace period, the popup will appear when richdcuments is installed.
Disabling the secure view feature does not help.

You have to get out of the grace peroid, either

  • by ordering a 30 day demo license, or
  • via occ config:app:delete core grace_period

Waiting 24h may also help, not sure about that...
