Due to the shortly lived nature of snippets on hastebin, I doubt this would be a good idea.

Do you have a specific use case in mind?

Websites that read this get an idea of how to show the content that has been linked. If it were a photo the open graph data tells the website how to display this info and what the photo title should be and maybe some meta about the photo.

My clear usecase is allowing a summary of a doc to be nicely displayed when posted on our forums (based on discourse). Pastebin supports this sort of meta when being linked. If someone posts a pastebin linked it gets summarised into a one box. Hastebin links do not.

Pastebins like Dogbin support the Open Graph standard, which is very comfortable when using IM apps, since one does not have to exit the app to view the paste contents.

Here's an example on Telegram with someone linking a few lines of error messages, it displays very nicely in the rich preview.
