EDIT:
chatgpt told me to:

cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu*/cpufreq/scaling_governor
performance
performance
performance
performance
performance
performance

performance
performance

and then to:

sudo cpupower frequency-set -g powersave

which "fixed it", but i dont know what this does. And it keeps comming back (i think when i restart).

Hi Tuxedo!
Exact same log in my syslog file here. Started to happen since yesterday after I updated the kernel and tuxedo control center. My Tuxedo then frequently fully hangs and I have to manually hard shut it down.

System:

  • kernel 6.8.0-109049-tuxedo
  • Ubuntu 24.04
  • InfinityBook Pro 15 - Gen9 - AMD
  • Control center 2.1.14

My workaround: after boot, quickly open the Tuxedo control center and change the profile to any other profile to reset the CPU energy settings to correct values.

Hello,

thanks for the info. We've identified various similar issues to the logs related to amd-pstate behaviour. I believe this should be fixed as of TCC v2.1.16 released today.

Let me know if it solves your issues.

My Tuxedo then frequently fully hangs and I have to manually hard shut it down.

This behaviour I have not seen however. Might be unrelated.
