Thanks for the contribution. However, is there a way to clear your commit history? I think it highlights every commit you previously made to the repository and merging this will potentially break the commit history of the main branch. Can you create a new branch, name it anything you like, and make a PR with only the contributing.md file? Let me know if you would need more details here.

Yes sure , I was trying to do that , i don't know what happened as it was not clearing the commit history

You can first try to fetch and merge the main branch of the piQture repo with your main branch. Then use the git checkout -b branch_name to create a new branch.

However, make sure you revert the changes to contributing.md, else, you may get some conflicts. If nothing works, you can create a new fork of the piQture repo and create a new branch there. I hope this helps.
