@mgmeier just brilliant in the level of detail & comprehensive nature of the update. I really appreciate that things like this have been going into the Developer Portal since @CarlosLopezDeLara's big push last year.

One question I've raised before, not answered here: At what point will it stop being called the "new" tracing system, given that it's no longer truly "new" and will be less "new" as time goes on?

One question I've raised before, not answered here: At what point will it stop being called the "new" tracing system, given that it's no longer truly "new" and will be less "new" as time goes on?

Once the "old tracing system" is decommissioned, approximately six months from now, the new tracing system will simply be referred to as "the tracing system." Although it has been in use for over a year, the upcoming release will be the first time it becomes the default configuration for the node, making it "new" in that context.
