After posting project to debian-project@lists.debian.org is has come to my attention that those in the FOSS community may have concerns about using a proprietary devleopment system like GitHub.
I will leave this as-is for legacy purposes as an archive of our first week's efforts.
Future updates will be on the new project home on GitLab and the new project Wiki on GitLab.
I thank you all for your interest in this project and welcome you to follow us on GitLab. I will be working on updating our IRC bot in the development channel to support webhook notifications of the new system. I will not be updating this project page further.
The purpose of this wiki is to lay out the design ideas, goals, challenges, and caveats of the various elements of this project and to post information relevant to the developers. For an overview of the project see the Project Webpage.
I've completed a rough skeleton of the pages for most components of the DISS system, feel free to use this outline to flesh out design ideas and add to it. Eventually it should turn into an API documentation of sorts, where it shows the actual API and functions/methods of each module. If any area of this Wiki interests you please join us and contribute your thoughts to it, and if you have the skills to code these things, then fill help us fill in the API details so other developers can code around it.
Please by all means if you take interest in this idea, feel free to help us make it happen. We can use all sorts of help at this point. If you want access to the repository, contact us in #diss on chat.freenode.net, you can use the web client if you do not have an IRC client. Help us flesh out the ideas on the Wiki and if you can, help us code some of the modules listed here and commit them to the repository.
