Hello there, it's me - Larissa. Welcome to my GitHub! I am a PostDoc with OceanX on a mission to explore Earth's oceans. Onboard the world's most advanced research vessel, the OceanXplorer, I conduct biodiversity assessments of various marine habitats from deep to shallow, focussing on multiple species and aims, meanwhile trying to improve my coding game, learn new languages, save the oceans and always on the hunt for eDNA or new input for sequence data analysis.
- 𧬠Iβm currently working on the use of eDNA to assess marine biodiversity and hopefully provide a baseline for conservation efforts and in the meantime exploring the magnificent oceans of our planet.
- π± Iβm currently learning as much as I can, mainly new statistical analysis in R, proper data clean up and everyting "meta".
- π― Iβm looking to collaborate on anything marine microbiology, ecosystem health and environmental assessments.
- π€ Iβm looking for help with getting started with Python and wrangling and analysis of metagenomic datasets.
- π¬ Ask me about anything marine microbiology, coastal habitats, sharks or my favourite pasta recipe.
