German "Programming" Keyboard Layout for macOS

This keyboard layout will make your programming life much easier while keeping as many habits of german-keyboard-usage as possible!

• Replaces äöüÄÖÜ with []{}|~
• No more dead keys ^´`
• Access äöüÄÖÜ by pressing option

Installation

1. Download and open German - Programming.dmg
2. Install of current user
3. Open macOS System Settings -> Keyboard -> Input Sources -> Edit -> click + -> click German - Programming -> click Add
4. Disable swapping the input source when pressing Ctrl + Space (which is a common shortcurt on most IDEs): Go to Settings -> Keyboard -> Keyboard Shortcuts -> Input Sources and disable both checkboxes.

You can now swap the keyboard layout in macOS toolbar (top right corner)
